Rescuers Discover Body of Tourist After Bear Attack on Mount Aragats; Another Injured
On September 14, at 14:26, the "911" service received a call from Margo J., a citizen of the Republic of Poland, reporting that she and her friend (also a citizen of Poland) had climbed Mount Aragats, where they were attacked by a bear. Her friend is injured, and they require assistance from rescuers. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the body of one of the tourists has been discovered, while the other is injured. Currently, they are awaiting the arrival of an ambulance helicopter as directed by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan to safely transport the body and the injured person to a secure location.
