29-Year-Old Resident of Alaverdi Requested Money from Mother and Then Caused Serious Bodily Harm
The investigation into the case of causing serious bodily harm to a 70-year-old woman from Alaverdi has been completed by the Tumanyan Investigation Division of the Lori Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charges have been brought against a 29-year-old individual.
As a result of the investigative and procedural actions carried out during the pre-trial proceedings, several circumstances of the incident and the motive have been clarified. According to the data obtained during the preliminary investigation, the 29-year-old resident of Alaverdi demanded money from his 70-year-old pensioner mother to meet his own needs. After being refused, he argued with her, during which he physically assaulted her, causing serious bodily harm.
Based on sufficient evidence, charges have been filed against the 29-year-old resident of Alaverdi under Article 112, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. As a preventive measure, he has been detained. Notification about the completion of the preliminary investigation has been issued, and the case has been sent to the prosecutor overseeing the legality of the preliminary investigation with a motion for the approval of the accusatory conclusion and forwarding it to court.
