ALERT: Another Poacher from Goris
Econews.am, in collaboration with the initiative 'Animal lovers,' continues to present photographs and details that testify to illegal hunting and cruelty to animals.
This time, through the analysis of openly accessible internet data, we have documented photographs proving illegal hunting. On August 25, Goris resident Vardan Arakelyan posted photos holding a killed Eurasian badger (Meles meles). The badger is a predatory mammal belonging to the weasel family. This species is not included in the hunting list, and hunting it is not allowed.
Moreover, the hunting season has not yet opened, according to the official order of the Minister. The photos show how the animal is being skinned.
This publication serves as a report of a crime, thus EcoNews.am invites the attention of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, the Police of the Republic of Armenia, and other law enforcement agencies.
