VIDEO. The Tailings of Arzvankik Are Filling the Norashenik River

Following the alerts about the tailings of Arzvankik that circulated on the internet, on August 24, inspectors from the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body's Syunik territorial division, along with employees of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, conducted a joint investigation at the tunnel entrance of the runoff waters being expelled from the Arzvankik tailings.

Water samples were taken for laboratory analysis. An administrative proceeding has been initiated by the inspection body, as reported by the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body.

It is noteworthy that the video was shared by journalist and environmentalist Tehmine Yenokyan.
