The head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Yerevan Municipality, Hovsep Kubatyan, announced on his Facebook page: "Regarding the mines that are right under our noses, this is not Amulsar, this is Yerevan! In the Erebuni administrative district, a quarry has been exploited for years. You can see what kind of dust the mine generates in the photos."

"By the way, a land use violation has been detected in the certificate of the company operating the mine. It states that the designated use of a plot of 5,000 square meters is for 'Agricultural and improvement works.' In reality, it has been revealed that the plot is being used for mining purposes, specifically for the production of gravel."

"Based on this, the Municipal Public Order Protection Service has drawn up an administrative report and fine in accordance with the features of Article 54, Part 1 of the RA Code of Administrative Offenses, amounting to 100 times the minimum wage."
