Students Will Be Able to Pay Tuition Fees with Income Tax Starting from the 2020-2021 Academic Year, Says Mkhitar Hayrapetyan
The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, has announced on his Facebook page that the working discussion in the education committee has concluded. As a result, a revised version of the proposed law on compensating tuition fees with income tax, initially presented months ago by the members of the "My Step" faction, Lilit Makunts and Sisak Gabrielyan, will be introduced in the upcoming days.
“We expect that the law will be adopted within this year, and starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, students will be able to use their income tax to pay for tuition fees,” wrote Hayrapetyan.
