Dispute Over Speeding in Ararat Ends in Gunfire

On August 24, around 21:30, the police department in Ararat received a call from the operational management center reporting a dispute near Zod in Ararat, with gunshot sounds being heard.

A 28-year-old man from Ararat informed the responding operational team that he was attacked by unknown individuals in a yard of a yard in the city over a disagreement about speeding. In self-defense, he retrieved his father's air gun from his car and fired several shots in their direction.

Hours after the incident, criminal investigators learned that one of the men involved in the argument was a 35-year-old resident of Ararat city, while the other was a 34-year-old from the village of Ararat. Through explanatory work, both individuals presented themselves to the police department in Ararat on August 25, around 15:30, where they provided confessional statements.

The weapon has been sent for examination. Circumstances are being clarified, and materials are being prepared.
