15-Year-Old Girl Injured in Car Accident Regains Consciousness

The press secretary of the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center, Gevorg Derdezyan, has reported via his Facebook page about the health condition of the girl injured in a recent accident in the Vayots Dzor region.

'Recently, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. The driver, on the 18th km section of the Getap-Martuni highway, veered off the roadway and rolled down a ravine for about 250 meters. As a result of the accident, three individuals died at the scene, while three others were transported to the Yeghegnadzor Medical Center with varying degrees of bodily injuries. Among the injured, a 15-year-old girl was later airlifted to Yerevan in a state of unconsciousness and taken to the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center. She is currently in the intensive care unit and has sustained lung contusions, abdominal contusions, and pelvic vertebra fractures. The girl has now regained consciousness, and positive progress is being observed,' he wrote.
