Fires Are Raging in the Forests of Syunik Province: Haik Barsghlyan (SOS)

Haik Barsghlyan, a member of the S.O.S. initiative, reported via a Facebook live stream from the Shikahogh-Meghri road in Syunik Province that there is a fire in the local forests.

According to Barsghlyan, the fire is widespread, requiring significant mobilization of resources. He stated, "After looking at the situation for a long time, I realized that it is very sad. We need a lot, a lot, a lot of human resources, equipment and tools, and these forests need to be saved quickly, or else we won’t have forests left in Armenia." He urged anyone who can to fill their vehicles and come, assuring that they will provide instructions on what to bring and what to do.

He also mentioned that although the fire has only recently started and has not spread extensively, it already encompasses a large area.
