Valery Osipyan at the Site of the Fire at Malatia Mall: "I Saw the Scale is Large, I Thought It Necessary to Be Here"

In Yerevan, the Chief of Police of Armenia, Valery Osipyan, arrived at the site of a major fire at Malatia Mall. "In the office, I saw that the scale of the fire is large, it's spreading, there are many people gathered, I thought it necessary to be here to assess the situation," said the police chief in a conversation with reporters. He noted that it would not be possible to make any assessment regarding the causes of the fire and the damage caused until the flames are extinguished.

It is worth mentioning that the owner of Malatia Mall, businessman Samvel Aleksanyan, is also present at the scene. He is effectively overseeing the firefighting efforts; under his instructions, another fire engine arrived to assist the firefighters.
