Gogavan Checkpoint Open Only for Passenger Cars

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of August 10 at 18:00, the roads within the Republic of Armenia are passable.

According to information from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.

However, due to a traffic accident in Georgia on August 10 at 09:30, the Gogavan checkpoint in the Lori region is currently open only for passenger cars, and there are traffic buildups reported.

Construction works are taking place on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, which has resulted in the closure of this segment for heavy vehicles. Alternative routes have been established: Stepannavan-Tashir-Gogavan and Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
