Girl Saves 5-Year-Old Brother's Life in Istanbul
In Istanbul, Turkey, a girl saved her 5-year-old brother's life in an elevator of a multi-story building, as reported by Turkish media.
According to the circulated information, the incident occurred in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul. The three children were playing outside and then entered the elevator to go up to their home on the top floor of the building.
After playing outside, the 5-year-old boy got a rope stuck around his neck, with the end remaining outside the elevator after the automatic doors closed. When the elevator started moving, the boy was left hanging beneath the ceiling, caught by the rope in the door.
The older sister in the elevator remained calm, grabbed her brother, and stopped the elevator. After the cabin came to a halt, the girl immediately loosened the rope that was choking her brother. Thanks to the quick actions of the 7-year-old sister, the boy survived.
It has been reported that all the children have come out of shock and are feeling well.
