Asphalt Explodes on Sevan Highway: Emergency Incident at 'Eagle Wings' Section

The news division of 'Aurora Media' received a call reporting an emergency incident in the Kotayk region, on the Sevan highway, specifically in the 'Eagle Wings' area. A driver named Arsen, who provided the video footage, stated that the asphalt had exploded.

Under still unknown circumstances, according to preliminary information, an explosion was heard near the bridge area adjacent to the Yerevan-Sevan highway's Eagle Wings section. As a result of the explosion, a Range Rover parked at the site was damaged, along with several other vehicles. Preliminary reports indicate that there are no injuries.

Experts from the Kotayk regional police are currently working at the scene. According to G. Shamshyan, the damaged Range Rover belongs to former National Assembly member and businessman Melik Manukyan, also known as 'Shshi Melo.'
