Nine Injured Police Officers Transferred to Hospital from Ijevan
A clash occurred approximately half an hour ago between protesters blocking the road in Ijevan and the police. The police attempted to disperse the demonstrators, who resisted and started a scuffle with stones.
Residents of Ijevan have informed "Armenian Time" that currently there are nine injured individuals, all of whom are police officers, who have been transferred to the hospital.
It should be noted that since early yesterday, several citizens had blocked the interstate highway from Georgia to Armenia just below the Ijevan market. They demanded permission for villagers to enter the forest and carry out tree felling. This led to a kilometer-long traffic jam of trucks and cars. Today, the protesters continued their action and blocked the interstate road again.
