Armenia's Delegation Wins 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze Medals at European Games
At the second European Games held in Minsk, Armenia's delegation achieved a remarkable performance, securing 5 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals, placing them 11th overall.
The title of European champion was earned by boxers Arthur Hovhannisyan (49 kg) and Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kg). This boxing tournament also served as the European Championship.
Gold medals were also won by Greco-Roman wrestler Arthur Aleksanyan (97 kg), gymnast Arthur Davtyan (vault), and sambo athlete Tigran Kirakosyan (52 kg).
Silver medals were earned by sambo athlete David Grigoryan (82 kg), gymnast Vahagn Davtyan (rings), and Greco-Roman wrestler Karapet Chalyan (77 kg).
Third place finishes went to boxers Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) and Gor Nersesyan (81 kg), as well as sambo athlete Arsen Ghazaryan (74 kg).
In the overall medal tally, Russia topped the chart with 108 medals (43 gold, 23 silver, and 42 bronze).
