We Must Win for Mkhitaryan, Says Arsenal Defender

The Greek defender of London’s Arsenal, Sokratis, believes that the "Gunners" must win in the Europa League for the sake of Mkhitaryan.

"Of course, Mkhitaryan's absence is a big loss for us. We are very sad, and now we must win for Mkhitaryan. We must play our game and believe that we can do it. If we give 100 percent and a bit of luck comes our way, then we will win," Sokratis stated according to Armenpress.

The Europa League final will take place in Baku on May 29. The two London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, will compete against each other in the final.

Arsenal has officially confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not participate in the match due to security concerns.

Arsenal fans have organized a petition on Change.org demanding a boycott of the final. Additionally, fans have started using the hashtag #BoycotBaku on social media. Previously, supporters of the two English clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, returned about 5,800 tickets, making up 10 percent of the stadium’s capacity.
