Prime Minister on Saakashvili's Statement about Karapetyan Bringing 270 Million Dollars
Today, on May 8, during a press conference, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to a question regarding the accuracy of former Georgian President Saakashvili's claim that former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan came to him with a suitcase containing 270 million dollars.
“It seems like I just immigrated to Armenia from somewhere else yesterday. Are you asking me about threats, right? Should I seriously answer the question about whether Karen Karapetyan came to me with a suitcase of 270 million dollars? Does 270 million dollars fit in a suitcase? Who knows?”
“Let’s say I met with Karen Karapetyan in a detention facility. Imagine that scene. Karen Karapetyan comes in; behind him are people with suitcases. Let’s say they are diplomatic bags, bringing in money and placing it down. Or do you think it’s possible to discuss these categories with me? It’s not!”
