It is an Obvious False Information: NSS Chief on the Reason for Denying Ukrainian MP Entry to Armenia
The spread of obviously false information led to claims that the entry of a Ukrainian MP into Armenia was obstructed at Russia's demand. This is not true. NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan stated in response to a question from Radio Azatutyun.
"In 2015, Mustafa Nayem was included in the list of undesirable persons in Armenia under the Law on Foreigners, and an entry ban was imposed on him. This has nothing to do with Russia; it was a decision made by the head of the NSS of the Republic of Armenia in 2015, which is within the framework of the law," said Vanetsyan.
According to him, since his appointment as NSS director, more than 30,000 individuals have been removed from the list of undesirable persons for Armenia. "There was a technical error, and Nayem remained on that list. When I was informed that such a situation had occurred, the issue was immediately resolved, and Nayem entered Armenia. He remained at the airport for about 40 minutes," he added.
