Aliyev Expresses Satisfaction with Recent OSCE Minsk Group Statement: Details

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has accepted the letters of credence from the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Earl Litzenberger. This was reported by the Trend agency.

During the meeting, several issues related to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were also discussed. Aliyev emphasized the Azerbaijani position on the resolution of the conflict, which, according to him, is “based on international law, norms, and justice.”

According to the statement issued by the Trend agency, Aliyev expressed his views regarding the recent statement by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, stating: “The Azerbaijani side considers the recent statement by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to be positive, as well as their viewpoints regarding the impossibility of changing the negotiating format.”
