Shame on Ruben Hakobyan: a response from Artsakh
The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, commented on the remarks made by Ruben Hakobyan regarding Artsakh residents during Hamlet Ghushchyan's broadcast. On his Facebook page, he wrote: "Shame on Ruben Hakobyan and to some extent Hamlet Ghushchyan for their highly discriminatory and offensive remarks about the Armenian part of Artsakh (see the 'Open Day with Ruben Hakobyan' program on Open TV, link in the comments)...
I regret that there are 'intellectuals' among our nation who are capable of introducing division among Armenians with such offensive generalizations. I hope that they will eventually realize the dangerousness and emptiness of their statements.
P.S. I am making this response both as the Human Rights Defender and simply as an Armenian. If I were in another capacity, my response would be much harsher."
