Video: Charges Filed Against Kocharyan, Human Rights Defender

Human rights defender Aram Orbelyan has announced that charges have been filed against Robert Kocharyan, but he cannot provide details about the case at this moment.

According to him, the charges relate to Kocharyan's validation of certain government decisions during his presidency. Orbelyan noted that the defense side already sees numerous issues with the content of the charges.

“At this point, we have a formal document of the charges, and we see many problems regarding its content, including whether the described act constitutes a crime,” said Orbelyan.

He also suggested that a motion for Kocharyan's detention could be presented to the court, considering the procedure for arrest.

Orbelyan stated that a briefing is planned for the end of the day or, at the latest, tomorrow, to provide more detailed information about the case.

He refrained from sharing details about Kocharyan's health condition and the ambulance call, citing personal health and privacy issues.
