“I don't think there's much to comment on. Anyone who saw yesterday's speech would say that this is the implementation of a direct order from the National Assembly podium. I don't think there is a single citizen in Armenia, even those from the Civil Contract party, who can interpret this differently; this is the reality.

The search is currently ongoing at their home. I am confident that Levon Kocharyan was prepared for all this when giving his political assessments. Overall, I want to emphasize my colleague's point that if the issue were about preserving property or leading a peaceful life, no one would be here, and he especially should stay away from all this for a quiet life; this is about something else. Anyone who is here as part of the opposition knows what they and their family will have to go through.

Nothing, this is also a phase that we will pass through; all authoritarian regimes in the world operate like this. I cannot make predictions yet; making forecasts about the civil contract party is a thankless task. I know that one day this chain will stop. There is no authoritarian regime that lasts forever. This will end one day. Our task is to bring that end as close as possible,” Vardanyan stated.
