Trump Threatens Iran with 'Severe Blow'
US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States fully controls the Strait of Hormuz and has warned Iran of a possible 'severe blow.'
'At this moment, we have complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. They control nothing. The strait is in our hands. If at any point they do anything, they will receive a severe blow,' Trump told reporters.
At the same time, the US president announced that negotiations with Iran are going 'very well,' but emphasized that he does not trust Tehran. 'I do not trust Iran. They have lied to me time and again,' he said.
According to Trump, Iran's positions in the Middle East have significantly weakened, and the country no longer has its previous influence in the region.
The US president also addressed threats related to his security. Commenting on last-minute changes to his flight plans during a visit to Turkey, he noted that he acted on the advice of the Secret Service and military. 'I suppose there was some threat. I receive numerous threats,' Trump said.
