CEC Recognizes Registration of 7 Parliamentary Candidates as Invalid
The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has recognized the registration of seven parliamentary candidates as invalid during an extraordinary meeting on May 22.
Seven candidates included in the electoral lists of the 'I Am Against Everyone' democratic party submitted their applications for self-withdrawal. This was reported by the CEC.
The self-withdrawal applications have been notarized.
According to the constitutional law 'Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia', candidates for parliament can submit self-withdrawal applications no later than 10 days before the voting day, by 18:00 on May 28. This deadline also applies to political parties/alliances participating in the elections.
