Video: Hundreds of Intoxicated Drivers Found, Ministry of Internal Affairs
From March 30 to April 6, during operations conducted in the capital, Yerevan traffic police discovered 4,961 violations of road traffic rules and towed 92 vehicles to designated areas. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that 173 drivers were found to be intoxicated, and 143 individuals were driving without a valid driver's license. Additionally, 39 cases related to registration plate issues were identified, 785 for driving without seat belts, 13 for not using child safety seats, 586 for smoking while driving, 263 for using phones, 245 for pedestrians crossing in non-designated areas, and 1,703 other violations.
Furthermore, 126 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance, 140 had not undergone technical inspections, 59 had malfunctioning headlights, and 75 had tinted windows on windshields and side windows. Moreover, 94 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to community police departments.
