Israel Threatens Iran's New Spiritual Leader
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue to strike anyone who poses a "threat to the state of Israel," including Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. This was stated by IDF spokesperson Effi Defrin to reporters, according to CNN.
When asked whether the IDF was aware of Khamenei's fate, who has not been seen or heard from since his appointment, Defrin denied this and added: "But I can say one thing: we will continue, as we have already proven, to pursue anyone who poses a threat to the state of Israel, and anyone who raises a hand against Israel will not escape our retribution. We will hunt them down, find them, and neutralize them."
Defrin also announced that Israel will continue to strike members of the Iranian Basij paramilitary group: "I repeat, we will reach everyone—wherever they are and whenever they appear."
