From April 1, pensions and benefits will be paid exclusively in non-cash form: details
According to a decision by the Government of Armenia, starting from April 1, pensions and benefits in Armenia will be paid exclusively in non-cash form. As of March 5, 2026, for pensioners receiving their pensions in cash and who have not applied to switch to the non-cash payment method, the choice of bank will be automatically selected by the Unified Social Service using a software module. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
“To obtain information regarding your bank, you need to access the provided link: https://online.ssa.am/index.php?r=pension-payer%2Findex and fill in your pensioner identification number (or the number of the certificate for not having one) or your passport (identification card) data in the respective fields, then click the ‘Search’ button.
Starting from April 1, pensions and benefits will be paid at the already increased rates, and as a result of the 20% refund provided to pensioners and beneficiaries for non-cash transactions, the amount of the pension or benefit may increase by another 10,000 drams,” the message states.
