Our Country Needs New Leaders: Narek Karapetyan
Democracy can be completely canceled, and a small group can gather to decide how many times the same person will be the Prime Minister of the country. This was stated by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the 'Strong Armenia' party council, during a press conference in the Ararat region.
'There is democracy, there is an opinion of the people, whether they allow it or not is determined by our Constitution. If democracy means at least something basic to them, then they will not take that step. There has never been a period in Armenian history when the main opposition force was not allowed to participate in elections. For this reason, I see that this will open a completely different path for Armenia, closing many avenues and leaving Armenia trapped in the same circumstances as in 2021. Our country needs new leaders to get out of this situation. We propose programs for the change of the country, not just a change of faces. If they had made the changes we suggested, there would be no need for us, society would not feel our demand, but society feels the need for new leadership and change. We will make proposals, and the people should decide, they should not decide instead of hundreds of thousands of people's opinions,' said Narek Karapetyan.
