Searching for Safe Ways to Return Citizens to Armenia: Mirzoyan on Regional Tensions
Following the onset of tensions in the region, embassies in all relevant countries have been put on a work emergency regime, and contact has been established with Armenian citizens, stated Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the National Assembly.
"We are searching for means to ensure the safe return of our citizens to Armenia. Of course, the challenges are evident, as a closed flight zone has been declared in almost all relevant countries. The UAE has a land border with Oman, and we are utilizing this opportunity to organize the transportation of our citizens," the minister said.
According to him, 110 citizens of Armenia have returned on flights that took place yesterday and today. "There is a high likelihood that flights can be reactivated from Dubai and Abu Dhabi," added Mirzoyan.
