Improper Condition of Outdoor Advertising Billboards Will Result in Penalties
The government approved a decision during its meeting on February 26, establishing accountability for outdoor advertising operators in Armenia for maintaining the billboards in an improper condition.
According to the justification for the decision, there are numerous abandoned and damaged advertising billboards along the country's highways. There is virtually no proper oversight regarding their external appearance and technical safety, which could pose a risk.
With the new regulation, outdoor advertising operators are required to inspect the technical condition of their billboards at least once every six months. If necessary, they must carry out repair and reinforcement work to ensure the safe operation of the billboards.
