Arsen Torosyan Announces Pension Increase
Pensions will increase by 10,000 drams starting April 1, not including retroactive payments, based on which beneficiaries can further raise their pensions by an additional 10,000 drams. This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had earlier stated that pensions in Armenia would increase starting April 1. Moreover, relatively low pensions will rise by 10,000 drams while relatively higher pensions will see a smaller increase. This calculation does not include retroactive payments, meaning that the actual pension increase will be more than the stated figures.
