Public Criminal Prosecution Launched Against One Person in Ajapnyak Shooting Case
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against one individual in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on February 18 in the Ajapnyak administrative district.
Auroranews.am was informed by the public relations department of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia: “The criminal prosecution was initiated under Articles 155, Part 2, Points 7 and 8 (murder in a manner dangerous to human life and by a group of individuals), 7 episodes under Article 155, Part 2, Points 7 and 8 (attempted murder in a manner dangerous to human life and by a group of individuals), as well as Article 297, Part 3 (hooliganism with the use of weapons) and Article 335, Part 1 (illegal circulation of firearms). A decision for the arrest of the individual has been made,” the prosecutor's office stated.
It is noteworthy that on February 18, gunfire was reported at 9 Abelyan Street in the Ajapnyak administrative district. Videos circulated on the internet show a group of individuals firing at each other. Seven individuals were taken to the hospital from the scene, one of whom has died, and the conditions of three others are assessed as extremely serious, while three are in serious condition.
