Charges Filed Against Head of Yerevan's Transport Department, Official Suspended
According to Hetq, a public criminal prosecution has been initiated against Vazgen Harutunyan, the head of the transport department of the Yerevan municipality. A preventative measure has been selected, and his official duties have been suspended.
Although the Investigative Committee did not reveal names, press secretary Kima Avdalyan stated that a decision has been made regarding a criminal prosecution involving one of Yerevan's municipal officials.
Specifically, during the pre-investigation of a criminal case initiated due to the failure to execute a court ruling or obstructing its execution, a public criminal prosecution has been filed against one individual, with a prohibitive measure applied that includes a travel ban and suspension from office.
Our sources report that the case is related to the failure to announce a procurement competition, thereby not complying with a court decision.
