Individuals Speaking in Street Language Randomly End Up in Council: Avinyan
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan has addressed the occasional tensions during council sessions. “Individuals speaking in street language, who have randomly ended up in the council, periodically force us to remind them in their own language what order and rules are,” he stated.
The mayor noted that it is unpleasant for him to respond in such a manner. “I deeply regret that I have to react like this once a year, but perhaps this is the only language that our colleagues who are guided by street manners understand. I do not derive any pleasure from such discourse; it is unpleasant, and it is very unpleasant that one is compelled to respond like that. It is a necessary response, and in some cases, it is an irreplaceable one,” the mayor mentioned.
