Significant Positive Progress in the Fight Against Corruption: Srbuhi Galyan
There is significant positive progress in the fight against corruption, particularly in that there are mechanisms in place in the state that are capable of responding to corruption cases and mechanisms that can establish and achieve accountability. This was stated by Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan during a conversation with reporters.
According to Galyan, media publications regarding corruption indicate that corrupt practices are being exposed in our country. In response to a journalist's question about whether the purchase of expensive villas and apartments by various officials during their tenure constitutes corruption, Galyan replied: "You have access to everyone's declarations; you can open and see each declaration, compare it with expenditures, and understand whether acquisitions are justified by income or not. If you have concerns regarding someone's declaration, you are free to submit a request to the Corruption Prevention Commission, and it will gladly engage in the analysis of the declaration."
