Macron Proposes to Halt Attacks on Ukraine's Energy Grid During Winter

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has proposed to halt attacks on Ukraine's energy grid during the winter. He made this announcement during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as reported by Reuters.

“I hope that China can join our call and our efforts to reach at least a ceasefire as soon as possible, in the form of a moratorium on attacks on critical infrastructure. This is vital for the upcoming winter,” Macron stated. The last moratorium on attacks against energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine was in effect for 30 days starting from March 18.
