Aliyev Makes New Statements Regarding East-West and North-South Corridors

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated that today Azerbaijan and its partner countries play a leading role in the development of the East-West and North-South international transport corridors. His remarks were presented at the international conference on the topic of "The Role of Special Services in Ensuring the Security of International Transport Routes".

According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan is continuously making significant investments in the development of modern railway, automotive, air, and maritime transport infrastructures, making them key hubs for regional transit.

"We consider these transport and communication routes not only as a source of economic prosperity but also as an important foundation for closer integration of Turkic states in political, cultural, defense, and security matters," Aliyev emphasized.

He highlighted that regional communication projects could also enhance the overall level of security by strengthening cooperation among the participating countries.
