VIDEO: Gunfire is Normal, I Could Be a Victim Tomorrow, Says Minister
The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, assures that the government is doing everything possible to improve the security environment day by day. "But we must take into account that we are currently living in a new environment where something could happen every day," he said during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
In response to the question of whether daily gunfire has become normal, he replied, "Hasn’t it become normal for you?" He added, "Gunfire is a normal thing even in Israel; the economy is developing at a very high pace. If that gunfire must not happen at the expense of our country's sovereignty, then we must try to develop our economy and make our country safer day by day in an environment with gunfire," stated Kerobyan.
"I sympathize with all victims' families, but tomorrow I could be a victim, and I am prepared for that," the minister added before leaving.
