The assessments regarding the results of the unified exams, stating that they are poor, are superficial and do not provide a complete picture. This was announced by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian.

She noted that in addition to unified exams, there are also various admission opportunities for intergovernmental universities in Armenia, and many graduates continue their education at universities abroad.

Andreasian indicated that the number of individuals opting to study at intergovernmental or foreign universities has significantly increased in recent years. According to the data she presented, in 2022, 1,919 individuals took advantage of these opportunities, while in 2026, their number reached 3,011, representing an increase of about 30 percent.

The number of male citizens who have received deferments for studying abroad has also risen. In 2022, 131 individuals received deferments, while in 2026, this number increased to 252.

Andreasian also pointed out that traditional trends in choosing professions are largely maintained. Medical, legal, and economic fields continue to be in demand among applicants.
