They Left No Room for New Accusations: Zakharova on Trump's Speech Distortions
Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented on the resignation of the head of Britain's BBC television and radio corporation in connection with distortions of Donald Trump's speech. "They left no room for new accusations," Zakharova said in a statement to the periodical "Vzglyad."
According to Zakharova, the BBC and other Western media outlets have repeatedly created fake materials on various topics. She noted that these media have "fabricated stories about Russian fans ahead of the Sochi Olympics, disseminated misinformation regarding events in Syria, and actively exploited the Skripal case."
Zakharova emphasized that such publications undermine trust in the media and testify to the systematic use of information manipulations.
