Attempt to Export Military Secrets Exposed: Russian Man Arrested
According to The Economic Times, a case of smuggling has been uncovered in St. Petersburg, leading to the arrest of a Russian citizen. He was involved in an illegal attempt to extract classified documents related to Russian military helicopters and air defense systems.
The report also reveals the existence of a network operating under the supervision of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which aimed to illicitly procure advanced air defense technologies from Russia.
Sources indicate that this operation is a continuation of previous initiatives by the ISI aimed at obtaining military technologies, including information regarding the S-400 systems used by the Indian Air Force.
The arrested individual attempted to secretly export documents and data pertaining to the development of the Mi-8AMTSh-V "Terminator" and Mi-8AMTSh-VA military transport helicopters.
