Musk Demands $1 Trillion Compensation, Threatening to Leave Tesla
The head of Tesla, Elon Musk, has threatened to resign from his position if shareholders do not approve a compensation package worth approximately $1 trillion. This announcement was made by the company's board chair, Robin Denholm.
According to Denholm, shareholders have been given until November 5 to vote on Musk's compensation. He also emphasized that Musk is an irreplaceable leader for Tesla. “Without Elon, Tesla could significantly lose its value, as our company may no longer be perceived the way we want it to be,” Denholm said in a comment to CNBC.
At the beginning of October, Forbes reported that Elon Musk became the first person in the world whose fortune reached $500 billion.
