Former Commander Mikayel Arzumanyan's Detention Changed to House Arrest
The detention of former Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Mikayel Arzumanyan, has been changed to house arrest. This information was published by Arzumanyan's lawyer, Yerem Sargsyan, on his Facebook page.
According to a decision by Judge Vardges Sargsyan of the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia, the precautionary measure of detention against former commander, Lieutenant General Mikayel Arzumanyan has been substituted with house arrest, wrote the lawyer.
It is noteworthy that on September 1, 2022, the Prosecutor's Office announced that Mikayel Arzumanyan, former Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army and advisor to the President of Artsakh, was charged for giving the order to retreat during the crucial battles for the strategically important Araga height and nearby positions during the 2020 Artsakh war.
Arzumanyan has been detained since September 1, 2022.
