In the 'Fourth Republic' Promised by Pashinyan, This is the Situation: Impunity and Chaos – Surenyanц
The gunshots reported in Abovyan during the night, resulting in three injuries (with two in critical condition according to doctors), along with the brutal murder that took place during a funeral inside the church in Charentsavan, can no longer be viewed as isolated criminal incidents. This statement was made by political scientist Suren Surenyants.
"These are links in the same dangerous chain, which attest to one clear reality: the state has ceased to perform its fundamental duty of ensuring the safety of its citizens and controlling public life. When gunfire rings out in city centers, and murder occurs in a sanctuary, it is not a coincidence but a profound manifestation of uncontrollability, characteristic only of weak or failing states. If the government's 'response' in this situation is once again limited to the dismissal of regional officials, as has happened after the murders in Mezhavan and Araks communities, then nothing will change. Even the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs or the country's police chief can no longer be a solution; the problem is not the inaction of individuals, but the paralysis of the entire system. We are dealing with a national security crisis. And if the 'Fourth Republic' promised by Nikol Pashinyan reflects this situation—murders in sanctuaries, gunfire in cities, impunity, and chaos—then it must be clearly stated that this 'republic' has been built on the ruins of the foundations of statehood," he wrote.
