The Process of Declaring No Confidence in the Prime Minister is Progressing Normally: Mamikjanyan
The "Honorary Title" faction has proposed a statement for the National Assembly, which outlines facts that are well-known to everyone. Since the presentation of the statement, perhaps two key points could have been added. This was stated by the head of the "Honorary Title" faction, Hayk Mamikjanyan, in the National Assembly.
“Firstly, in the second point, under the section 'Foreign Policy, Adventurism, and Concessions,' it could be presented in more detail regarding the uncertainties that have arisen in connection with the documents signed in Washington, in the context of Nikol Pashinyan's recent speeches. Secondly, in the section 'Retreat from Democracy and Violations of Human Rights,' we have another disgraceful example of illegal decision-making, which is the decision made on Friday regarding Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, highlighting once again the retreat of democracy in our country,” he noted, adding that despite the phrase 'retreat from democracy' being already inadequate, it is too mild for the processes occurring in our country.
Hayk Mamikjanyan stated that their announcement has already produced results. “Frankly, I do not recall a case of such consolidation in recent times, so we can consider this a good start. First and foremost, I inform our citizens that this is a process of declaring no confidence in the Prime Minister, and in colloquial terms, it is not an impeachment process. The process of declaring no confidence in the Prime Minister is progressing normally on its own, and this is exclusively a different process. Therefore, no one should get the impression that these two processes are to be confused with each other,” the faction leader explained.
