World Leaders Discuss Putin's Photo
World leaders, gathered in Germany for the G7 summit, reminisced about the famous 2009 photo shoot featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin posing bare-chested on a horse. This was reported by The Guardian.
According to the publication, the conversation began when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sat around the table and asked the other leaders what he should do about his jacket—whether to take it off or leave it on. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded, advising his colleague to wait for the group’s official photo before removing their jackets.
“But we have to show that we are tougher than Putin,” Johnson quipped, referring to the shirtless photo of Putin on the horse. Understanding the British Prime Minister's joke, Trudeau added that G7 leaders should demonstrate their bare-chested riding skills to the public.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, praised Trudeau’s idea and remarked that horseback riding is one of the best things in the world.
