HETC Expects Layoffs Due to Power Outages Reported in the Center: Romanos Petrosyan
The temporary manager of HETC, Romanos Petrosyan, addressed reporters regarding the power outages that occurred on September 19 in the administrative district of Yerevan's Center.
“HETC's energy infrastructure is so worn out that it was not possible to make breakthrough changes within one, two, three, five, or six months. But I can assure you that the outages lasting one and a half hours would have lasted perhaps three to six hours if not for the state's intervention,” he stated.
According to Petrosyan, a mistake by one of the contractor companies connected with the same owners was also involved in the mentioned outage. “On Monday, there will be layoffs at HETC, and sanctions stipulated by the contract will be applied against the partner,” said the temporary manager of HETC.
