Considered Dangerous: Production of Meatfood's 'Savory Sausage' Halted
Food safety inspectors from the city of Yerevan's food safety inspection authority conducted a control operation at the meat production facility belonging to 'Meat Food' LLC (located on Ohanyan Street, Yerevan) where they collected samples of existing products for laboratory analysis.
The examination revealed that a sample of the 'Savory Sausage' product under the 'Moya Semya' brand (produced on June 30, 2025, with a shelf life of 25 days) did not comply with the norms required by the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, specifically regarding 'sodium nitrite recalculated according to NaN02'. Consequently, the food product is deemed dangerous.
As per the decision of the supervisory authority:
- The production of the 'Savory Sausage' product at the meat production facility has been suspended.
- The producer has been instructed to bring the product into compliance with the norms established by legal acts.
- The operator has been issued an order to halt the marketing of the batches, recall them from the market, destroy them, or dispose of them.
- A deadline has been set for correcting the violations.
