Active Backstage Discussions in the ARF Regarding Separation from Robert Kocharian
The newspaper "Iravunk" reports: "It is said that there are active backstage discussions among non-mandatory ARF (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) elites concerning whether participating separately in the 2026 parliamentary elections may be more advantageous for the party.
Our sources assert that the party does not view positively the statement made recently by Levon Kocharian, a member of the Armenian parliament's "Armenia" faction, indicating that their coalition intends to participate in the upcoming elections under the leadership of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian.
Furthermore, it is even suggested that certain circles within the party are convinced that by participating separately in the elections, they can not only maintain their own identity but also gather more votes without being associated with the coalition formed around the Kocharian family name."
