Withdrawal of Russian Peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh Provided Additional Impetus to the Peace Process, Bayramov
The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh has provided additional impetus to the peace process. This was stated by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
“This process has also had a positive impact on negotiations around the peace agreement. After the 'anti-terrorist' measures in 2023, the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh, which Armenia had long sought to elevate in the negotiations, was completely removed from the negotiating table. The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the region, amid new realities, one and a half years before the expiration of their mandate, provided further impetus to the peace process,” Bayramov said.
